Abdullah Kızılırmak was a Turkish university professor and astronomer born on February 16, 1925, in Pınarbaşı, Kayseri. He founded the Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences and the observatory at Ege University in Izmir. Kızılırmak also published a dictionary titled 'Gökbilim Terimleri Sözlüğü', which translates to 'Dictionary of Astronomy Terms' in Turkish. He contributed significantly to the field of astronomy in Turkey until his passing on December 4, 1983, in Izmir.
