Basanti Dasgupta (later known as Basanti Roy) was an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter born in April 1913. She was a significant figure in the British anti-colonial movement and one of the last Bengali women to adopt Gandhian values from Mahatma Gandhi, focusing on welfare and village reconstruction. She was known as 'Basanti Bahan' and was recognized for her commitment to social service and development, receiving the Bajaj Award in 1986.
