Boris Alexandrovich Smirnov (1903—1986) was a Soviet artist, architect, designer, photographer, educator, and publicist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1968, he was recognized as a classical and innovative artist as well as a theorist of applied arts. Smirnov was one of the founders of the domestic school of artistic glass, making significant contributions to the field through his creative and theoretical work.
