Carlos Felipe de Habsburgo, born on October 18, 1954, in Mexico City, is the second son and first male of Archduke Félix of Habsburg-Lorena and Princess Ana Eugenia of Arenberg. He is a descendant of Blessed Charles I of Austria and Empress Zita, and a great-great-nephew of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico and Empress Charlotte of Mexico. Carlos Felipe is also the first male of the House of Austria to be born in Mexico. His great-great-aunt was Countess Antonieta de Mérode-Westerloo, Princess of Monaco through her marriage to Charles III of Monaco, ancestor of Prince Albert II.
