Diarmaid FitzGerald (born 18 February 1983) is an Irish sportsman and former member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. He was born in Roscrea, County Tipperary, and educated at University College Dublin, where he earned a PhD and won multiple hurling titles. FitzGerald captained Tipperary's minor hurlers to success in the 2001 Munster final and in the 2004 Under 21 Munster championship. He made his Tipperary senior debut in 2004 and received the RTE Man of the Match award during a crucial victory in 2005.
