Lepage served as the spokesperson for the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival from 1992 to 1999 and championed the Auberges du Cœur organization for over ten years. An experienced helicopter pilot, he owns a Robinson R-44 and published a book titled 'Le Livre de bord du commandant' in May 2011.
