John Jones, born on February 6, 1952, is a former American football executive who was briefly president of the Green Bay Packers. He started his career as a journalist, teaching journalism and working for the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Transitioning to NFL management, he worked with the NFL Management Council, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Packers. Promoted to president in 2006, he faced health issues and leadership complaints, leading to an indefinite leave of absence and eventual termination. He was succeeded by Mark Murphy in 2007.
