He founded the musical groups O Terço and Karma and contributed to Erasmo Carlos's album 'Sonhos e Memórias.' Additionally, he was part of Milton Nascimento's band. In the early 1970s, Amiden faced serious health issues related to drug use, leading him to withdraw from professional music. Notably, he was recognized as the first musician to play the 'tritarra,' a guitar with three arms.
