Juan Aizpurúa Azqueta was a Basque politician active during the Franco regime. Born on October 16, 1918, in Sant Sebastià, he joined the rebel forces as a provisional ensign during the 1936 coup. After the Spanish Civil War, he joined FET de las JONS and served in several political roles, including city councilor in San Sebastián and provincial head of the Movimiento Nacional in Gipuzkoa. He was appointed civil governor of Castellón in April 1971 and held the position until May 1974. His brother, José Manuel Aizpurúa Azqueta, was a falangist architect executed during the civil war.
