Krishna Krishna Chettur was an Indian civil servant and diplomat, born on 10 March 1901. He was the first Indian Ambassador to Japan after India's independence, serving from 1952 until being appointed Ambassador to Burma. Chettur had a distinguished career in the Indian Civil Service, where he held various positions, including in the Finance and Commerce Departments. A member of a notable political family, his daughter Jaya Jaitly is a recognized socialist politician. He passed away from a heart attack on 29 April 1956.
