Katsuya Takahashi (born April 26, 1958) is a former member of the Aum Shinrikyo cult from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He held the holy name of Smangala and was affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence after the group adopted a governmental structure. Takahashi was designated as a special wanted suspect by the National Police Agency as one of the individuals responsible for the Aum Shinrikyo incidents and has been on the run for an extended period. He is not related to Masaya Takahashi despite the same surname.
