Martin Zachary Mondinde Njeuma (1940–2010) was a prominent Cameroonian historian specializing in African history. He was among the first formally trained historians in Cameroon. After studying abroad for over a decade, he returned in 1970 to serve as the Director of the National Archives in Buea. Njeuma also had a significant academic career as a professor at the University of Yaoundé, where he was the Head of the History Department and later the Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences. Additionally, he became the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Buea.
