Mohamed Qubaty is a Yemeni politician born in 1958 who currently serves as the Minister of Tourism. He was appointed Minister of Information on December 1, 2015, in the government of Bahah, by President Hadi upon returning from exile. Qubaty has been a vocal opponent of the Houthi and Saleh coup, advocating for the legitimate government and condemning the coup in media appearances. He calls for a strong response against the Houthis, asserting they are untrustworthy. He previously held several political roles, including as Yemen's ambassador to Lebanon and Cyprus from 2003 to 2007.
