Ōba Kamenoshin (1904-1999) was a Kokeshi doll craftsman from Shichikashuku Town, Miyagi Prefecture. He spent his life in the Inako district, where he learned woodworking skills in his youth. Initially creating wooden tableware, he eventually became a Kokeshi artisan after three interruptions in his career. Even after turning 90, he continued to make Kokeshi dolls. His son, Ōba Tomio, also became a Kokeshi craftsman, following in his father's footsteps.
