Ruby Hsu, born Zheng Ruwei on January 13, 1967, in Miaoli City, Taiwan, is a prominent English tutor and the head of the Xu Wei Education Institute. A Hakka, she graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature and attended Taipei Municipal First Girls' Senior High School. Since 2008, she has expanded her institute to over 200 branches across Taiwan and co-hosted a TVBS program with Chen Jianzhou from 2011 until she resigned to accompany her son abroad.
