薛种, originally named 薛惟中, is a Taiwanese baseball player born on June 29, 1990. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2013 season draft by the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions. Currently, he plays as a catcher for the team. Due to the emergence of other catchers in the team, including 郭峻偉 and 林祐樂, and the development of a new main catcher, 陳重羽, his playtime has been limited. In 2021, he transitioned to serving as a bullpen catcher.
