Yuri Borisovich Vinogradov (December 7, 1932 – September 30, 2012) was a Soviet and Russian hydrologist and professor. He held a Doctor of Geographical Sciences degree and authored monographs on mathematical modeling of hydrological processes, catastrophic flooding, and debris flows. He organized the Chemolgan experiments to reproduce debris flows in a natural debris flow area and was the last chair of the Erosion Commission of the USSR Academy of Sciences, as well as the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on science and technology.
