Rüstəm Əliyev was an Azerbaijani pharmacist, born on May 25, 1917, in Füzuli and passed away on June 2, 1966, in Baku. He earned his doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences in 1952 and became a professor in 1954. He served as the head of the Department of Drug Technology at Azerbaijan State Medical University from 1941 until his death. His research primarily focused on the study of the pharmaceutical resources of the Republic, and he contributed significantly to pharmacy education in Azerbaijan.
