Stoyan Petkov Stoyanov is a Bulgarian historian and archaeologist known for his long-term research on the ancient and early Byzantine city of Abritus. He is credited with saving the ancient city during the construction of a penicillin factory and for the designation of Abritus as an archaeological reserve.
