Tony Särkkä, born December 15, 1972, in Stockholm, Sweden, and known by his pseudonym IT, was a Swedish multi-instrumentalist of Romani, Finnish, and Native American descent. He was the creative force behind several black metal bands, including Abruptum, Ophthalamia, Vondur, and War. After announcing his departure from the black metal scene in 1998, he founded the band 8th Sin in 2001. Särkkä passed away on February 8, 2017.
