William Ernesto Centellas Molina was a prominent Bolivian charango player and composer, born on March 6, 1945, in Sucre, Bolivia. He graduated as an urban architect from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés and began his charango career in 1963. Over his lifetime, he recorded around 50 songs and composed over 200 pieces. Centellas performed across various countries, including Argentina, Germany, and Japan. His health declined in 2003 due to a cerebral edema, similar to Alzheimer’s, which hindered his musical and architectural careers until his passing on June 14, 2009, in La Paz.
