Yevgeny Georgiyevich Yozhikov-Babakhanov (1942-2023) was a prominent Soviet and Kazakh politician. He served as a member of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR from 1980 to 1989, and later as a member of the Congress of People's Deputies of the Soviet Union from 1989 to 1991. He held significant positions as First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan from June 1991 to February 1992 and as Deputy Prime Minister from February 1992 to January 1993. His political career spanned critical years during the transition period in Kazakhstan.
