We See The World As We Are

Did it ever occur to you that people are so stupid, ignorant and fools. They keep on living a poor life full of suffering and misery. They keep on creating problems for others and really are a burden on humanity.

Ouch. That’s really so rude. This attitude doesn’t goes with Love.

I posted following in response to a topic being discussed here.

I faced the same problem in past and came to the exact same conclusion. But deep inside I knew this conclusion was not helping me in any way. After all, like all other opinions, this one too is bound to be transiting and temporary.

Today, I don’t hold the same conclusion any more. It was an error on my part.

During a meditation session, this thought hit me and changed me forever. It happened this way -
- Why people are so stupid, ignorant… blah blah blah…
- Why do I have to accept these bunch of ……..
– Why do I want them to be different than they are?
- Silence
- Because I don’t like myself the way I am, and I have always been trying and forcing to change myself and be different than who I am. I still have to accept myself the way I am.

This last thing that happened by itself changed my perception and now I don’t think people are stupid or ignorant. I just had to stop “forcing” change on myself.

Actually in past I was reading a lot about personal development, techniques and related stuff. So I was moving to a different life style and sometime even forced myself to bring these changes as soon as possible. I only saw imperfections and a meaning less human life.

We see the world as we are.

Now I understand why my ex-gf always had a problem with my shoes, my clothes and my hair style. I also understand why she is my ex. :D

These days my stress levels are really low and a joy flows naturally. People enjoy my company and its more and more laughter and less arguments.
