Hattstedt is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is located in the heart of the peninsula of Nordfriesland, approximately 10 km southwest of Husum and 30 km northwest of Flensburg. The municipality has a population of around 2,500 people and covers an area of 13.4 square kilometers. The climate is temperate with average temperatures ranging from 3°C in January to 18°C in July. Hattstedt has a rich history dating back to the 13th century when it was first mentioned in documents.
