Kirishi is a city in Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the Volkhov River, approximately 120 kilometers southeast of Saint Petersburg. The city has a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Kirishi was first mentioned in historical records in 1693 and was granted city status in 1965. It is home to the Kirishi Oil Refinery, one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.
