Artëm is a city in Primorskiy Krai, Russia, located on the Artemovka River, about 37 kilometers (23 mi) north of Vladivostok. The city has a population of 102,409 (2010 Census). The weather in Artëm is humid continental, with cold, dry winters and warm, humid summers. The city was founded in 1924 and named after the revolutionary Fyodor Sergeyev, also known as Artem. Artëm is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Artemovskoye Fortress and the Museum of the History of the City of Artem.
