Harihara Brahmi Yoga

Harihara Brahmi Yoga arises when benefics are in the 8th or 12th from the 2nd lord, or if Jupiter, the Moon, and Mercury are in the 4th, 9th, and 5th from the 7th lord;
or if the Sun, Venus, and Mars are in the 4th, 10th, and 11th from the lord of Lagna. This yoga is considered to be complicated because of the combinations that cause its formation. but one thing all scholars agree upon is the importance of the 2nd and 7th house lords.

Natives of Harihara Brahmi yoga are blessed with several benefic results such as; Virtue, truthfulness, scholastic understanding of the Vedas, excellent speech and oratory abilities, an affinity for sexual pleasures among others

Rules
Three rules are given for the formation of this yoga, when either of these three combinations occurs, the yoga can be found in a person’s horoscope and they are given below:

(a) Benefics should occupy the 8th and 12th house from the 2nd lord;
(b) Jupiter, Moon and Mercury must be in the 4th, 9th and 5th houses respectively from the 7th lord
(c) The Sun, Venus, and Mars must be in the 4th, 10th, and 11th from the lord of Lagna.

Comment and details
The name of the yoga is gotten from the houses and lords that cause its formation. Lagna represents the birth or creation of the individual. The 2nd represents wealth, and wealth is a protector and preserver in life. Lastly, the 7th is the house of “Maraka” which signifies destruction.
Brahma, “Vishnu” or “Hari” and “Mahe-shwara” or “Hara” form the “Hindu Trinity” and they govern the aforementioned activities of creation, protection, and destruction, They also inform the name of this yoga “Harihara Brahma Yoga“.
