Kusuma yoga arises when Jupiter is in Lagna, the Moon is in the 7th house, and the Sun is in the 8th house from the Moon (i.e it is in the 2nd house). Kusuma yoga is a direct consequence of the merging of Gaja Kesari yoga and Vasi yoga.
Such a strong yoga gives benefic blessings to its natives who end up being powerful people in society; Kings, Highly placed politicians, Magistrates, etc, But worthy of note is that their reputation will be unquestioned and pure, they will lead wherever they are found.
Rules
- Jupiter must be in ascendant (Lagna).
- Moon must be located in the 7th house.
- Sun must be located in the 2nd house (8th house from the moon).
Comment and details
There is another way that Kusuma yoga is believed to be formed; Venus should occupy a fixed sign in a Kendra, a weak Moon should be in a trine, and the Sun should be in the 10th house. The rationale is that Venus cannot occupy any other Kendra than the 10th house, in the case that the Sun is also in the 10th for Venus, it will mean that the weak Moon should occupy a trine and the Sun and Venus must be in the 10th.
