Pearl – Uses, Benefits & Who Should Wear

This gem is obtained from the belly of the sea horn. The pearl producing oyster belongs to a specific class. It is visible that pearls are formed from a type of secretion in the oyster’s stomach, but apart from the sea, there are other sources from which pearls are obtained. This gemstone is the representative gem of the moon planet.

Pearls are mostly known for their use as jewellery in necklaces, rings and earrings, however they are also used to beautify clothes. But beyond fashion, pearls are included in certain kinds of medicines because of their high health benefits, they are also crushed and used in the making of paint and some cosmetic products. You will also find pearls being used for decorative purposes and furniture.

Japanese Pearls are superior among the pearls because they are formed without any human Intervention. Their Price is also high but they are preferred for the best astrological results, and second to them are the South Sea Pearls.

Here are some things to do before you select a gemstone; You can put the pearl in cow urine for a whole day, and if it breaks then you know it’s fake, you can also rub the pearl with rice peels, then wash it with cow urine, and if it breaks then it is artificial. You can also check by pressing it between the teeth or putting it in a glass filled with water, in these last two methods, original pearls will come out without scratches, and will reflect light even in the water. Also, the best pearls  are smooth, round, radiating and considerably weighty.

How to wear Pearl

Pearl should be embedded in a Silver Ring, because silver is the best metal for this gemstone. Furthermore, the pearl must be dipped in raw milk or water for 7 to 9 hours in order to remove any impurities before being worn and it should be worn on the little finger of the right hand on Monday between 10 – 11am. The gemstone must be between 5 to 10 carats in weight as suggested by expert astrologers.

There are also some other activities you must do before wearing pearls, and they are; You have to burn five agarbatti in the name of Chandra Dev and pray that, “O Chandra Dev, I am wearing your gem, pearl to get your blessings, please bless me.”

After removing the ring and chanting the mantra 108 times, turn the ring over the incense sticks and then put the ring in the finger by attaching it to the feet of God Shiva. Within 4 days you should start seeing the positive effects from the ring, and within 2 years, you would have enjoyed the full effects.
