Lawrenceville is a town in Virginia, United States, located in Brunswick County. It is situated at the intersection of US Routes 1 and 460, approximately 50 miles south of Richmond. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Lawrenceville was founded in 1792 and named after Lawrence Washington, George Washington's brother. It played a significant role in the American Civil War as a railroad junction and supply depot for the Confederate Army.
