Belogorsk, formerly known as Aleksandrovka, is a town in the Amur Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Tom River, near its confluence with the Amur River. The climate is humid continental, with warm, humid summers and cold, dry winters. Belogorsk was founded in 1856 as a military outpost and named Aleksandrovka after Emperor Alexander II. It was renamed Belogorsk in 1926 and received town status in 1956. The town is home to several historical sites, including the Aleksandrovsky Cathedral and the Belogorsk Fortress.
