Bay City, Oregon, United States, also known as Bej-Siti and Бей-Сити, is a small coastal city located at the mouth of Tillamook Bay, 70 miles (113 km) southwest of Portland. It has a mild climate with average temperatures ranging from 45°F (7°C) in January to 65°F (18°C) in July. The city's history dates back to the 1850s when it was established as a logging camp. Bay City played a significant role in the timber industry and was once home to several sawmills. Today, the city's economy is primarily based on tourism and recreation.
