Bingley, England, United Kingdom is a town in the metropolitan borough of the City of Bradford, West Yorkshire, with a population of 23,782 (2011 census). It is situated on the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, 5 miles west of Bradford and 11 miles northwest of Leeds. The town has a long history, dating back to the 7th century, and is home to a number of historical buildings, including Bingley Priory and the Old Bridge. Bingley is also a popular tourist destination, with attractions such as Bingley Five Rise Locks and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. The town has a temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from 4°C in January to 18°C in July.
