Cleethorpes is a seaside town in the North East Lincolnshire, England, UK. It is located on the southern bank of the Humber Estuary, approximately 10 miles (16 km) north-east of Grimsby. The town has a long history, dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period. In the 19th century, Cleethorpes became a popular seaside resort, and it remains a popular tourist destination today. The town has a number of attractions, including a sandy beach, a pier, and a promenade. Cleethorpes is also home to a number of historical buildings, including the Cleethorpes Coastguard Station and the Cleethorpes Lighthouse. The town has a temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from 4°C in January to 18°C in July.
