Donald Osmund Oslear was an English Test cricket umpire born on 3 March 1929 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. He joined the first-class panel in 1975 without prior playing experience and officiated five Test matches and eight One Day Internationals, including a semi-final of the 1983 World Cup. Over his career, he umpired 360 first-class matches until 1993. Notably, he co-developed the 'bowl-out' concept with John Holder to resolve drawn matches, which was later implemented in ECB limited-overs competitions.
