Īrānshahr is a city in the Sīstān va Balūchestān Province of southeastern Iran, near the border with Pakistan. The city has a hot desert climate, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 35°C throughout the year. Īrānshahr has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the ancient Persian Empire. The city was once a major center of trade and commerce, and was home to a number of important historical sites, including the ancient city of Fahraj.
