Sulechów is a town in western Poland, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship. It is situated on the Oder River, about 20 kilometers east of Zielona Góra. The town has a population of around 10,000 people. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cold winters. The town was founded in the 10th century and was granted town rights in 1252. It was a member of the Hanseatic League and was an important trading center. The town was heavily damaged during the Thirty Years' War and was rebuilt in the 17th century. It was part of Germany from 1793 to 1945, when it was transferred to Poland. The town is home to a number of historical buildings, including the Church of St. John the Baptist, the Town Hall, and the Old Town Walls.
