Dwight is a village in Livingston County, Illinois, United States. It is located approximately 80 miles southwest of Chicago, near the intersection of Interstates 55 and 39. The village has a population of around 4,000 people and is known for its historic downtown area and its proximity to several state parks and recreation areas. The climate in Dwight is humid continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The village was founded in 1854 and was named after Dwight L. Moody, a prominent evangelist.
