Canelones, also known as Villa de Canelones, is a city located in southern Uruguay, in the department of Canelones. It has a humid subtropical climate, with average temperatures ranging from 12°C to 25°C throughout the year. Canelones was founded in 1726 and has a rich history and heritage, including the historic Plaza 18 de Julio and the Museo Histórico Departamental de Canelones.
