It is situated approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) east of Liverpool and 17 miles (27 kilometers) west of Manchester. The town has a population of approximately 22,000 people. The weather in Newton-le-Willows is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 4°C (39°F) in January to 16°C (61°F) in July. The town has a rich history, dating back to the 12th century.
