Kurtamysh is a town in the Kurgan Oblast of Russia, located in the southern part of the West Siberian Plain. The town has a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters. Kurtamysh was founded in 1750 as a Cossack settlement and became a town in 1944. The town is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Kurtamysh Museum of Local Lore and the Church of the Holy Trinity.
