It does depend on how long the two of you have been together. If it a rather new relationship some individuals like to get to know their partner a little better before things turn more intimate.

It can also depend on someones spiritual beliefs as well. If someone is a Christian for example they usually abstain from any form of intimate relations until they are united in marriage.

Have you spoken to your partner about taking your relationship a step further? Communication is important to a healthy, open and honest relationship.
