Anju, also known as Anshu, is a city located in P'yŏngan-namdo province, North Korea, at the confluence of the Ch'ŏngch'ŏn and Taedong Rivers. It has a humid continental climate with cold winters and hot summers. The city has a long history dating back to the Goguryeo period and was once a major cultural center.
