Athi River is a town located in the Eastern Region of Kenya, approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Nairobi. It lies at an elevation of 1,535 meters above sea level and experiences a tropical savanna climate with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C throughout the year. The town has a rich history dating back to the pre-colonial era, when it was a trading post for the Akamba people. Today, Athi River is a major industrial hub, home to numerous manufacturing plants and industries.
