Brecon, also known as Aberhonddu or Brecknock, is a town in Wales, located in the county of Powys at the confluence of the rivers Honddu and Usk. Brecon has a rich history, dating back to the Iron Age, and was once the capital of the Welsh kingdom of Brycheiniog. The town is known for its medieval Brecon Cathedral, its 13th-century Brecon Castle, and its annual Brecon Jazz Festival.
