Broad Brook, Connecticut, is a small town in the northeastern United States with a population of around 4,000. It is located in Hartford County, approximately 15 miles northeast of Hartford. The town has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Broad Brook was first settled in the early 1700s and was originally known as Scantic. The town was renamed Broad Brook in 1854 after the brook that runs through it. Broad Brook has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic buildings, including the Broad Brook Opera House and the Scantic Meeting House.
