Dum Duma, also known as Doom-Dooma, is a town in Assam, India, situated at the foothills of the Patkai Mountains. The town experiences a tropical monsoon climate with heavy rainfall during the summer months and pleasant temperatures throughout the year. Its history dates back to the Ahom dynasty, when it was known as Sookerating and served as a strategic military outpost. Dum Duma is home to several historical sites, including the Ranggharh Fort, a well-preserved Ahom fort, and the Gaurisagar Tank, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site.
