Ekazhevo is a village in Grozny District, Chechnya, Russia, situated on the left bank of the Sunzha River, south of Grozny. The village has a humid continental climate with hot summers and moderately cold winters. Ekazhevo was founded in the 19th century by Cossacks from the Terek Region. During the Chechen Wars, the village was heavily damaged and many of its inhabitants were displaced. After the end of the wars, Ekazhevo was rebuilt and has since become a prosperous village with a population of over 1,000 people. The village is home to a number of cultural and historical sites, including a mosque, a church, and a museum.
