Gessate, Lombardy, Italy is a town in the province of Milan, located at the northern edge of the Po Valley, approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Milan. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cool, wet winters. Gessate has a rich history dating back to the Roman era, with its name deriving from the Latin "Gessatum", meaning "place of gypsum".
