Hingoli, formerly known as Hingoli, is a city located in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. It lies at an altitude of 160 meters above sea level and has a tropical climate with hot and dry summers and mild winters. Hingoli has a rich history dating back to the 12th century when it was ruled by the Yadava dynasty. It was later conquered by the Delhi Sultanate, the Mughals, and the Marathas. The city is home to several historical monuments, including the Hinglajgarh Fort, the Tulja Bhavani Temple, and the Hazrat Khaja Bahauddin Dargah.
